On Westminster Bridge

                                     From a hi-vis jogger

on his i-pod

                                     to a high-rise cleaner

  on an unpaid

                                      fag break; a girl’s tears

              on the Euston road

                                      later, all ways,

noiseless,

                         faceless,

                                            unheard.

Gary Twynam turned his back on poetry 25 years ago, but it’s seeping back into his soul. He has written a book about gambling and one on moving from London to Shropshire. He is currently publishing the novel ‘Farewell Trip’, co-written with Karin Dixon. Excerpts and other stuff at http://www.garytwynam.com/writing.html
